WW1 A Poets War
WW1 As seen thru the poets words of John Mcrea and Wilfred Owen to the music of The Pen and If I Could Leave This Muddy Field Words and Music written by Tony Flanagan. I wonder how many of these young men survived and returned to there loved ones...I picked photos showing men trying to make some normality out of a terrible situation. Smiling even though each one is a bullet away from death. Wilfred Owen one of the poets I use in the video was in fact killed on the last day of the war and his mother received the telegram on the day the victory bells rang out across England...Wilfred Owen attended Birkenhead Institute.
